Who Are the Men of Prayer?

The Men of Prayer are Aroostook County men that come together several times a year for weekly prayer and fellowship, and also meet in various participating churches that welcome us to their ministries for an evening of prayer.

The Schedule

Weekly Meetings:

Mondays: 8 A.M.: Presque Isle Mall, Presque Isle, ME
Wednesdays: 9 A.M.: Fort Fairfield, ME
Thursdays: 8 A.M.: Reno’s Restaurant, Caribou, ME

Monthly Prayer Meetings: (Locations TBD)


Goals and Strategies

Men of Prayer Goals:

1. Conduct weekly prayer meetings ( Mathew 18:19-20)
2. Pray over ministries, buildings, groups of people and government (2 Chron 7:14, James 5:14-15, Matt 18:20, Acts 2:1)
3. Provide one on one mentoring of young men in the discipline of prayer (Luke 11:1-4, Mathew 9:36-38)
4. Utilize Pastoral covering in our gatherings (Eph 4:11-16, 1 Thess 5:12, Heb 13:7)
5. Assist a minimum of four new communities in starting a Men of Prayer group in 2018. (Mathew 9:37-38)
6. Invite people who need prayer to all our gatherings (Mathew 11:28-30, John 14:10-14)
7. Conduct four quarterly meetings with all Men of Prayer participants to instruct men in the discipline of prayer and discuss organizational needs and improvements (Luke 11: 1-4)


1. Plan regularly scheduled meetings
2. Use Social media, website and email to get the word out on all meetings
3. Create and maintain a telephone network and utilize a freeconferencecall.com line for networking/prayer calls
4. Men of Prayer leaders meet with Pastoral coverings for guidance and accountability monthly
4. Seek and support other prayer gatherings and opportunities in the County and beyond
5. Seek and assist young men with attending, mentoring, and accompanying others on prayer missions
6. Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit as to who to invite to meetings
7. Schedule four quarterly meetings with scheduled agendas, prayer, fellowship, and improvement discussion
